If your starting your color journey or maybe you’re always lacking the basics to pull your outfit together this post is for you! More specifically this is for my Spring Color Season girlies!
Creams, Peaches, and Browns are going to be your best friends when it comes to pairing and layering an outfit. Below I’m going to link some great examples of basics in our color season that will help you make a foundation for your new closet! If you are new here and have no clue what i’m talking about click here to start learning about finding your best colors through color theory!
Cream
Springs want to stay away from bright whites and opt for something a with a bit more yellow. This can be difficult because I find a lot of washed out creams that seem to have a cool-tones to them, so be careful and really ask yourself if it’s a bright cream! Below I’ve linked some ideas of cream basics from brands I shop from myself and find they have great value! Try not to be scared of a price tag, good basics will last you years and are well worth the investment.

Peaches & Grays
If you really were hoping to be a Summer these are the colors that could help you create a soft chic look while still staying in your colors! These aren’t really my favorite colors to wear on the regular because I tend to feel as though they blend into my skin, but during the summer these are my favorite kind of pastels. Everyone’s skin and personal styles are different, so don’t let my opinions talk you out of buying a peach top! Peach can be very beautiful on darker skin and your skin will pop in the bright gray! My fellow pale girls this color will give you a soft look but be careful the wrong light pink will do you more harm than good.

Browns
Browns are my personal favorite to layer with and they look a lot better than black with our colors. If you’re still hanging on to some black clothes just in case, start to think about replacing them with browns you’ll notice a huge difference when it comes to pairing our colors.

Maybe you’re still hesitant to change your whole closet and start wearing the colors you’ve been told look better. Even if you don’t fully embrace your colors at least try and create a closet that makes it easy to put together an outfit every day. When I went through my closet I swear I had pieces from every different color season, I’m not sure how I wasn’t clashing everyday. Shopping within your color season takes away asking, “do these colors go together?” and makes every look effortless. Shopping within your color season might be a little difficult but that’s what i’m trying to change, and remember, don’t forget your own personal style at the door.
